Indonesia, officially the Republic of Indonesia is a sovereign transcontinental country located mainly in Southeast Asia with some territories in Oceania. As the world's fourth most populous country, it is home to over 260 million people with a muslim majority. It offers all sorts of attractions from historical to natural to cultural. It is known for its beautiful beaches, volcanoes, komodo dragons and jungles with great biological diversity. The capital Jakarta and the city of Yogyakarta are known for gamelan music and traditional puppetry. Visit Ubud, perched among stunning terraced rice fields, it is one of the top tourist attractions. Tourist will get to immerse themselves in Balinese culture with daily dance and musical performances and shopping at numerous art galleries and craft shops. Get up close and personal with the majestic Komodo dragons at the Komodo National Park. To escape from the crowds, chill out at the relaxed and laid back Gili Islands with countless little beachside cafes playing reggae music with no vehicles to disturb the peace. Indonesia is a tourist-friendly place to visit. Do dress modestly and appropriately and avoid sleeveless tops, especially when visiting religious sites. Avoid touching another person's head as it is a sign of disrespect.
